• Product Description

Bitukold is a cold, hand-applied, thixotropic bitumen emulsion specially formulated for sealing vertical joints in asphalt and macadam. Designed for efficiency and durability, it provides excellent protection for new joints and can also be used as a tack coat on small patches—removing the need for a separate tack coat emulsion. Easy to apply with a soft fibre or turks head brush, Bitukold delivers a reliable seal that meets industry standards and is trusted for highway, commercial, and infrastructure applications.


• Ideal for sealing transverse or longitudinal vertical joints, trench reinstatements, patch repairs, drain or manhole frames, exposed ironwork, and kerb channels

• Cold-applied formulation—no heating required, saving time and equipment costs

• Simple brush application; surface ready for surfacing within 15 minutes under normal conditions

• Complies with BS 594987 Clause 6.8 (vertical face coating) and Clause 903.2 (iii) of the Specification of Highway Works

• Coverage: approx. 200 linear metres of joint per 15kg bucket at 50mm depth; as a tack coat 0.25–0.45kg/m²

• Supplied in resealable 15kg bucket for convenient handling and storage
